Who we are
Solo Remit Ltd is the controller of your personal data. You can contact our Data Protection Officer at [DPO email].

Why we use it
- To provide the service: process transfers, keep your account running and support you.
- To meet the law: identity checks, anti-money-laundering, sanctions screening and record-keeping.
- To keep you safe: detect and prevent fraud and misuse.
- To improve and market our service: with your consent where required, and you can opt out at any time.
International transfers
Sending money abroad means some of your data must go abroad too, to complete the transfer. Where data leaves your region, we use legal safeguards such as approved contract clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account is open and then for [retention period, e.g. 5 years] after it closes, because anti-money-laundering law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Some rights are limited where the law requires us to keep records. Email [DPO email].
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when our practices change and tell you about significant changes in the app or by email.
