Who can use our service
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must live in one of the countries we send from, and use the service for yourself, not on behalf of someone else.
- You must give us true, complete and up-to-date information, and keep it updated.
- Our service is for personal transfers to family and friends. [Business use permitted? Yes / No]
Opening and verifying your account
The law requires us to confirm who you are before you send money, and sometimes during the life of your account. We may ask for photo ID, proof of address, information about where your money comes from, or the reason for a transfer.
If we can't verify you, or you don't give us information we ask for, we may delay, limit or refuse a transfer, or close your account. Where the law allows, we'll tell you why.
Sending money
Before you confirm a transfer, we'll show you: the amount you send, our fee, the exchange rate, the amount your recipient gets, and when we expect it to arrive. That quote is fixed once you confirm and pay.
- Delivery times depend on the destination, the payout method (bank, cash pickup or mobile wallet) and any checks we need to do.
- You're responsible for entering the correct recipient details. If you give us wrong details, we'll make reasonable efforts to recover the money but can't guarantee we will.
- Transfer limits: [daily / monthly limits by region and verification level].
Fees and exchange rates
Our fee and exchange rate are always shown before you pay. Our rate includes a margin over the mid-market rate [confirm margin disclosure approach]. Your recipient's bank or payout partner should not charge them, but some may; we'll tell you if we know of any such charges.
Cancelling a transfer and refunds
You can cancel a transfer free of charge until it has been paid out to your recipient. Once the money has been paid out, it can't be cancelled.
If a transfer fails or we cancel it, we'll refund the full amount to the payment method you used, normally within [refund timescale].
What you must not do
- Use our service for anything illegal, including fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing or avoiding sanctions.
- Send money on behalf of someone else, or to pay for goods or services from someone you don't know.
- Open more than one account, share your login, or try to access someone else's account.
Keeping your account safe
Keep your password and device secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone has accessed your account or a transfer you didn't make has happened. We will never ask for your password or one-time codes by phone, email or message.
Our responsibility to you
If a transfer goes wrong because of our mistake, we'll refund it and any fee you paid. We're not responsible for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, or by incorrect details you gave us. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law. [Liability caps, as agreed with legal]
